About Us

Halesowen Dance Academy specialises in offering a friendly and welcoming environment for all our pupils across Hagley and Halesowen. We offer a range of dance styles delivered by fully qualified teachers. Our lead teacher Nicola Hayes is qualified to Fellowship standard with The National Association of Teachers of Dancing and shares with the pupils both her passion for dance and her many years’ experience of teaching.

Nicola Hayes is a recognised teacher with the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT) and has been awarded the good certificate of professional practice. Teacher’s awarded CDMT’s Recognised Teacher Award demonstrate to students, parents, and guardians that they adhere to the standards demanded by the industry; standards designed to protect and safeguard young people whether dancing for leisure or with an eye to a career in the profession.

We offer classes for children and adults in a range of dance styles for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Pupils also have opportunities to work towards N.A.T.D and C.D.E.T. accredited examinations and awards and to take part in regular performances. Opportunities to perform include performing with Chance2Dance at The Birmingham Hippodrome, The Halesowen Carnival, and our spectacular school dance shows, which are often the highlight for both pupils and parents!
